Every millisecond, wireless data is transmitted to the display receiving antenna, the receiving system responds within a millisecond to confirm receiving the data, the displays continue to update on each microprocessor clock second.
Every score, every second of wind data, every input from the EJ remote control is vitally important information for the competition judging team.
We fully understand the reasons why cabled connections are currently the preferred option!
We understand our systems, connecting cables work !
Wireless data communication is the way forwards,
it is much more efficient than a cabled connection, cables can be broken, wireless is all around us, everyday, all the time.
Using a wireless radio module to connect, the wind data to the wind speed display will help to overcome common cable issues, such as broken cables, bent pins and corroded terminal connections.
Going wireless also has other benefits by removing trip hazards, reducing obstacle avoidance problems in the target area.
Our wireless system requires that the data from the wind sensors must get to the wind speed display, consequently, we use a protocol, whereby the transmitter demands a response from the receiver, so it knows the data has been received.
The transmitting unit tells the receiving unit which frequencies to use and for how long for the next transmission, this process takes upto 5 seconds during the initial start up to pair the transmitter to the receiver unit and to establish a full range of communication between the two units.
The data transmission takes milliseconds to achieve a successful transmission and to receive the acknowledgement that the data has been received at the other end.
Obviously, you have a choice, to go wireless or to remain with cabled connections.
Our WindCheck system is supplied with the option of being either cabled or wireless.
